Dan Green

Associate Director, Expedition Engineering

Dan is a dedicated and creative Structural Engineer with ten years' experience designing bridges and leading Design teams. He specialises in challenging technical projects and has a talent for establishing clarity in the face of complex problems.

He graduated from Cambridge University in 2013 and achieved his Chartership in 2018.  His career to date has traversed a broad range of bridge projects, including major design-and-build projects, long-span crossings, assessment projects, architecturally-led design competitions, and heritage structures.

Since joining Expedition in 2022, Dan has driven the first-deployment modular AVA Modular Bridge at Stowmarket, further to branching out within the Construction Innovation team to support the design of the Rolls-Royce SMR Program Site Factory for BAM Nuttall, and deliver a series of holistic design efficiency reviews for National Highways.

Beyond project delivery, Daniel has two established professional interests; the first that he is an enthusiastic computational designer, leading the development of numerous innovative digital workflows for design development. In addition, he has cultivated an industry-facing expertise in the embodied carbon assessment of bridges. This work includes the widely cited publication of ‘A proposed SCORS rating scheme for Bridges’ (The Structural Engineer), and a role as one of the founding members of the industry wide Net-Zero Bridges Group.
