Julian Staden
Principal Civil Engineer, Network RailJulian is Chartered Civil Engineer with the ICE and an Asset Management Professional with the IAM. He is currently serving as a Non-Executive Director at CIRIA (Construction Industry Research and Information Association) and is a Principal Engineer in Network Rail’s Technical Authority.
Julian has spent most of his career specialising in structures in both engineering and asset management roles, and has a keen interest in the long-term sustainability of the railway’s structures portfolio. Julian’s current focus is on how Network Rail can optimise the management of its structures portfolio using limited resources, whilst understanding, tracking and reducing its infrastructure carbon footprint.
